Another rare Fitzmaurice mark with a stamped date! But oddly, it extends the Fitzmaurice II type so that it overlaps the IV type, for which I have a single example with a date, 1940. Clearly the crews had several different stamps lying around of different vintages.

This is a real definitive example of a Schnoor Bros. mark from 1915, which I believe is the firm’s first year. P. Schnoor & Son used the same mark, and I have examples from 1911, 1912 and 1913.
Notice that all the 1’s are backwards, and the dash in the date is also a backwards “1.”
E. 24th Street at 21st Avenue
Unlike my previous Powell Bros. Concrete Co. mark, this one has (narrowly) escaped damage. Still looking for one with a date.
