3824 Enos Avenue

This is actually an unusually good example of C. Monohan’s mark, and much better than my previous example from 1937.

4421 Worden Way

This is a unique date format, with only the last digit of the year, but I feel quite confident in assigning it to 1937. I have two other different examples from that year.

4457 Reinhardt Drive

Nice to have a clean version of Rasmussen from this year as well as that weird driveway mark.

1751 Seminary Avenue

This big Flaherty mark is different from my previous example.

5615 E. 17th Street

This mark shows that J. Rodrigues chiseled the address off of his stamp in 1937, some time after March of that year. He used that mutilated mark until 1940, when he briefly used a new stamp.

4256 39th Avenue

This mark has a twin across the street. It extends the time span of this version of the Fitzmaurice mark by three years.

1607 52nd Avenue

J. H. Colgrove took Deco to the limit, using a decorative font in which the “7” character was close to what other fonts would use for a “1.” But I have examples with a “1” in them, and that numeral is a straight unadorned stroke.
