There’s an identical mark across the street at 448. This differs from the other 1908 Burnham mark on 44th Street; that one says “C. B. Burnham” whereas this says “Burnham Co.”

This is the first Castro Valley contractor’s mark I’ve seen, but down near the Coliseum it’s not as much of a surprise. Kevin Court is a forlorn little block, right across the tracks from a remarkable graffiti wall.
