This mark was hiding underneath a sandwich board. It’s the first example I’ve found of an Angelo Sposeto mark with a date.

As I ease my way into West Oakland, it’s interesting to see different dates for familiar names. Up til now (or rather, elsewhere than here), I’ve only found W. M. Sharp marks from the 1930s. Sometimes I feel like a naturalist, spotting old species in new habitats.
