I’ve surveyed the whole area around Abreu’s address and didn’t see his mark there. Always fun to find a new name in the Oakland sidewalk scene.

4114 Masterson Street

There are a couple of these here, so it’s not an aberration. I believe that Manuel Rose kept using his Gets & Rose stamp until he could have one made with his own name.

3914 Maybelle Avenue

You might call this a “type” mark from C. A. Peterson, whose business address was right next door. There are several others near here, all of them beautifully made.

4221 Masterson Street

Interesting; I know Mackenzie from the 1950s, not the 1920s. Was it an elder Mackenzie? And what about Lundberg?

3722 38th Avenue

There are a bunch of these here, all of them better than the previous example I used for this so-far-undated mark.
