1970 – A.B.C. Concrete

29 July 2015

1970g

9034 D Street

At this late stage in my survey of Oakland, it’s safe to say that the set of several marks on this property are the city’s best example of A.B.C. Concrete stamps.

1968e

1366 91st Avenue

1941 – C. Valenzuela

1941hhh

1323 91st Avenue

Valenzuela marks from the 1940s are quite rare.

1932 – Doyle & Sons

1932xxx

1106 92nd Avenue

I’ve documented 1932 before from these guys, but on that mark the date was on the top.

1931 – N. Tribuzio

25 July 2015

1931jjjj

90th Avenue at A Street

Most of the marks by the Tribuzio brothers were by G. Tribuzio, or both brothers. I’ve documented N. only from 1927 to 1939 whereas G.’s dates go from 1924 to 1954.

1930 – T. J. Garvey

1930www

951 92nd Avenue

I found 92nd Avenue to be unexpectedly charming, with some large lots, period homes and a few very large trees.

1930 – M. Cvetich

23 July 2015

1930vvv

1121 92nd Avenue

The last Cvetich mark I documented from 1930, the date was handwritten.
