The first L. Mosagna mark I’ve found.

Chas. Somers & Sons marks are kind of handsome, but rarely legible.

Yet another configuration used by J. McGettigan.

1933 – J. McGettigan

1933

4001 Howe Street

I’ve walked past this mark countless times and stared at it intently often, but on a bright low-sun December morning a date finally emerged in the center of this early McGettigan mark. The letters are deepset, but so indistinct that I left then unswept this time.

1933 – Frank Salamid

1933

4112 Montgomery Street

This Frank Salamid mark is barely visible except under strong low-angle light. But it’s the first one I’ve found from the 1930s.

1928 – H. C. Petersen

1928

4294 Montgomery Street

One of those sprawling H. C. Petersen marks that are hard to photograph.
