Ed Doty changed to a curved mark after 1936, but I’ve seen a handful of dated marks from later years where he used the old straight text instead.

I believe that this very nice mark by Salvatore De Guarda is hand-drawn. Here’s another configuration from the same year.

Here’s another mark that Nancy alerted us to back in 2012. Dated marks by Cunningham & Gunter are rare as hen’s teeth.
