W. M. Sharp used a handsome stamp from the mid-1920s through the 1930s. I have a hand-drawn mark from 1940, and now this one from the following year including his son.
This is satisfying, because I’ve recorded several other Fitzmaurice marks from this year, but the date has always been handwritten. Here’s a beautifully stamped date, AND in the rich red concrete of the Havenscourt neighborhood.
This is spooky, a mark by George McMullin several years older than the others I’ve found, and spelled differently! Also without his middle initial S! How did this happen? What does it mean?
