3005 Brook Street
I already have a 1938 Di Zillo—I’ve seen three, all with this date—but this is the best.

3009 Brook Street
I love Brook Street, it’s funky and quiet and some of the back yards front on a living stream, the one that’s culverted through Mosswood Park. And this driveway has only my second dated Aaron Dahlquist mark.

3074 Brook Street
This is right next to the place I take my car, so I may have a chance to get a better shot of this scarce Sandin & Swanson mark.

Boyd Avenue and Clifton Street
This WPA mark is a genuine sidewalk mark, not in the gutter like most.

344 45th Street
Bilger was the owner of the Rockridge Shopping Center quarry; Blake was one of his partners. Blake & Bilger stamps are not rare, but they’re usually very hard to read. Two others are on 49th Street at Desmond and the corner of College and Hudson. I have seen Blake & Bilger marks in Berkeley with large double numerals in the center field (from 1907 and 1910), but I have yet to find a dated one in Oakland.

John and Gilbert Streets
I’ve seen only two Esterly marks; the other is from 1911.
