Griset’s marks are fairly common in Oakland, but they span only a few years from 1950 to 1957.

10501 Royal Oak Drive

R. D. Stoecker tended to do big jobs, notably the Grass Valley subdivision (in 1957 and 1959) and most of Bancroft Avenue (in 1957). This part of the Sequoyah Heights development features several unambiguous examples from 1958.

Crestmont Drive at Kimberlin Heights Drive

I think McKenzie must have done a large part of this neighborhood.

2630 94th Avenue

12 Shetland Court

This tract up in Grass Valley has about a hundred R. D. Stoecker marks, half from 1957 and half from 1959, with just two or three from 1958. And they’re debatable.

6310 Camden Street

Once upon a time, the mighty Oakland construction company McGuire and Hester laid a lowly sidewalk in front of a gracious home in the Seminary Park neighborhood. I have only one other dated mark from this firm, from 2004.

4440 Davenport Avenue

Looks like the kids on the whole block showed up on this June 5.
