This is Dan Doyle’s first firm date, ten years after Doyle & Sons.

OK, N. Tribuzio and G. Tribuzio marks are common, especially G., but this is the first Nick Tribuzio mark I’ve found. It’s later than any N. Tribuzio mark, so it might be N. using his full name, or it might be another family member.

Sheffield Village, at least my first sample of it, doesn’t have many different sidewalk stamps. There were a lot of A. J. Marin marks, and this family portrait circa February 3, 1941. From left to right are Pat’s hands, Eddie’s hands (very faint and out of the frame), Pat’s feet and the word “Veria” or “Verla”.

I’ve found this modest mark from 1937 to 1941 now. J. Andersen dates only from 1927 so far, so it seems to be just my fantasy that they were bitter rivals.
