This G. Tribuzio mark appears to be dated both inside the mark and below it. The 11-31 must represent the month and year, given that November has only 30 days.

This is a prize indeed: a dated T. J. Garvey mark far older than any others I’ve found, and in a different font.

2065 Monroe Avenue

A 1944 mark by Frank Lopes shows him in San Leandro, but this one doesn’t give a city.

I found another example, and this says “Douglas & Wolfe”–the mark is so degraded that you might take it for eighteen ninety-something, but I gave it a very close inspection.

4209 Montgomery Street

The date is oddly formed, but I take this Cal Cragun mark as a 1931. He must have used a trowel to add the last two digits.
