Chetwood is an interesting street, starting at the very top of the Morcom Rose garden and ending at the bridge over I-580 to Adams Point.

Napa Street near Broadway

Napa Street is too short to actually have house numbers—every lot on it faces on Broadway, Carlton Avenue or Belgrave Place—but the sidewalk layers thought it worth marking just the same. There’s another Wiggins & Kaiser mark along Broadway near here.

It isn’t always easy to figure out a digit. It looks to me like this was a 1927 stamp that Gus Johnson had to turn into a 1928 using only blunt instruments.
