A. B. Clark is the twentieth different sidewalk contractor I’ve identified from 1912, the climax year of that decade.

1627 34th Avenue

This is the first of a long set of marks from the Fruitvale district, which is as rich in marks as I hoped. It’s a different form from my other marks by W. N. Whitmore; also older.

6322 Baker Street

This is right up next to the Berkeley line.

6250 Baker Street

I have an Estey mark already documented, but this is a much better example. Baker Street has about a dozen of these, so that’s where to go to see them. It’s a nice street in the Golden Gate district.
