4957 Desmond Street
The Oakland Paving Company operated the large quarry that is now occupied by the Safeway/Lucky complex at 51st Street/Pleasant Valley Avenue at Broadway. I’ve only seen marks from 1910 to 1918, but they’re scattered all over North Oakland and Berkeley. It was also called the Bilger quarry, and Blake & Bilger marks also exist.
