Good old Rosas Bros. patched this whole block, putting dates on each bit. I’d hate to think that they are the only outfit left doing this, but I’m glad someone is carrying on the tradition.

Agreed. Don’t know why this tradition/requirement has virtually passed on. My brother is a mason in Boston and I worked a few years in the trade and I’ve never even seen anyone who had the tools to imprint names and numbers. I haven’t lived in Boston for years, but I can’t recall ever seeing any sidewalk stamping.
