L. Villata signifies Luigi Villata and his brother Stefano Villata who worked in the cement business. They helped to do concrete for the public swimming pool on 45th Street in Oakland near Oakland Tech High School and also cement work for the Orinda Theater. One can see his stamp in North Oakland. Part of the cement in front of 435-43rd Street, although I believe it is not stamped, is his work as were the front stairs and porch of that house.
