1945 – R. G. Wolfe

1945

9th Avenue at Foothill Boulevard

This mark fits between Douglas & Wolfe 1940 and Wolfe 1949. Clearly Douglas left the partnership in one way or another, and R. G. Wolfe chiseled his name off the old stamp before he could have a new one made. This stamp also shows that the partnership started in the 1920s. A lot of information in one spot.

There are two R. G. Wolfe stamps on Wisconsin Street: A stamp at the corner of Maple Avenue and Wisconsin Street, dated 1949, and the other stamp on Wisconsin Street (between Norton and Rettig), dated 1953.
