Found another good example at 2354 E. 23rd Street.

I suspect, but cannot prove, that this was the practice of Joseph (Giuseppe) Costello, 1883-1971, a native of Torino, Italy, who came to the US in 1905. Joseph and his brother Louis (Luis) later rose to prominence as the prosperous owners of the big San Leandro Quarry. The firm’s marks extend only three years, 1914-1916, in Oakland, almost entirely down in the 90s Avenues.
