East 16th Street at 29th Avenue

This mark is rather near little Derby Avenue, so I wonder if the street is named for the contractor.

    I looked for this one earlier this week and didn’t spot it. It’s certainly possible that I may have simply missed seeing it, but if the location was close to the corner of E. 16th Street and 29th Avenue, it’s probably gone, as the sidewalks at all four corners have been repaved. Fortunately the A.E. Derby mark on 89th Avenue is still there.
