Amazingly, this is readable as C. Davis, 1926, Fruitv.

I’m very interested in learning about the usage of “Fruitvale” as an address. As I move into Fruitvale I hope to find more examples.

    I’d love to find this one as it’s not that far from my home and the old Fruitvale marks are so cool. But I’ve been over to Erie Street 2-3 times and haven’t found it. It doesn’t help that it appears there may not be an 846 Erie – the house numbers go from 840 to 848. There are a few small repaved spots along the sidewalk so it’s possible that this mark is no longer there, but I haven’t given up looking for it.
