There are two marks here, and the date is very faint but firm for both. This is right on the Emeryville line.

    As you know, Blake & Bilger marks are usually badly worn, but I happened to spot one this morning in West Berkeley that’s not very worn at all – very crisp and legible, and easily the best I’ve seen. It’s at 2394 Ninth Street in Berkeley, with “1906” in the center triangle. There’s another one from the same year across the street that’s also not bad but the one at 2394 Ninth is considerably better. There are also marks across the street by M. Foss from 1908 and Contra Costa Construction Co. from 1906.
