There is a “J. Anderson” as well as J. Andersen. The address 3774 Howe Street is under today’s Macarthur-Broadway building, soon to be replaced by a new Kaiser hospital building. This must be the same Andersen as the Andersen & Montgomery company, although that was at 3796 Howe.
